简介： In1974,onthenightthemilitantanarchistSalvadorPuigAntichwasexecuted,fiveformerpol In1974,onthenightthemilitantanarchistSalvadorPuigAntichwasexecuted,fiveformerpoliticalprisoners—AngelAbad,JordiCunill,LolaFerreira,NarcísJulian,andAntonioMarín—gatherinafarmhousetoprepareamealandmakeafilmdiscussingtheproblemsandissuesarisingfromlongprisonterms.Portabellausessimplecinematicconventionstoexplorehissubject:"Youcan’tunderstandliberationifyoudon’tbeginwithyourself."Theintentionofthisfilmistoapproachtheproblemsfacedbypoliticalprisonerswithlongtermsentences.Thismeetingtookplacein1974,inCataloniaonthesamedaythatSalvadorPuigAntich,ananarchistactivist,wasexecutedbygarrotte.Toprotectthoseinvolvedinthedocumentary,filmingtookplaceinacountryhomefarfromBarcelona.Themeetingnoticewassenttothetechniciansandotherpersonsinvolvedatdifferenttimesandwiththeutmostsecrecy;nobodyknew,beforehand,ourdestination.Theseweretheusualmeasurestakenduringthedictatorship.Whenwewereallgatheredtogether,IinformedthemoftheexecutionofPuigAntichandofthestrictcontrolandsurveillancemeasurestakenbythepolicewhenthesekindofeventoccurred.Ialsosuggestedthatifanyonewereconsideringabandoningtheproject,inviewoftheriskofarrest,allthepersonhadtodowassayso,noexplanationsnecessary,andwewouldsuspendfilming.TheunanimousdecisionwastocontinuethefilmpreciselybecauseitwasthebestanswertotherepressionundertheFrancoregime,andsowecontinued.Thefilmingequipment:afewspotlights,a16mmcamera,atravellingtrack,anda“nagra”fordirectsound.Beforetheshoot,Ispentsometimetalkingtotheprotagonistsabouttheessentialaspectsconsideredsignificantandadequatebyallofusinordertoorganizetheirconversationduringthedinner.Iresolvedthefilmingstrategybylongtravellingshotsfollowingarhythmthatwasnotdictatedorsubsidiarytothedialogueandafictionlightinginaccordancetothedegreeofcinematographicrepresentationthatwasofinteresttome.ThedinnerbeginswithacritiqueonhungerstrikesasanextremewayofkeepingupthefightandendswithLolaFerreirawhofinishesbyleavinghercompanionswordless. 详情
